Stephen Daner, Legal Intern
Steve is a recent graduate from Vermont Law School, where he received a J.D. Degree, and is currently completing a Master’s Degree of Environmental Law & Policy. While attending Vermont Law he was both a student senate class representative and student ambassador for two years. He received a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2003 with a double major in History and Law & Society. While at San Diego Coastkeeper, Steve will be working on range of water quality issues and hopes to acquire knowledge of environmental litigation practices.
Leslie Gaunt, Legal Intern
Leslie, a continuing intern, is the treasurer of the Environmental Law Society at California Western School of Law, where she is a third year student. She is an associate editor for the CWSL Law Review/International Law Journal and is focusing on pursuing a career in non-profit environmental law. Leslie received a B.S. in political science from California State University, Northridge. At Coastkeeper, Leslie is currently working on seawater desalination issues and looks forward to learning more about environmental advocacy and protecting the world's oceans.
Reed Gallogly, Legal Intern
Reed will begin his 2nd year at Santa Clara University Law School in the fall, where his focus is environmental law. Before that, Reed worked in apparel manufacturing and corporate buying after graduating Stanford University in 2004 with a B.A. in Political Science. With several years in the work force under his belt, Reed returned to school to enter a profession allowing him to work on issues he finds personally motivating: environmental protection. At Coastkeeper, Reed is working on projects involving urban runoff, water quality and toxic waterways, and he is excited about learning litigation strategy and preparation.
Katelyn Kinn, Legal Intern
Katelyn is in her third year at California Western School of Law, where she is an officer for the Environmental Law Society. Both her education and civic involvement are concentrated on environmental and animal protection law. Katelyn received her B.S. in International Relations from Boston University. During that time, she interned at human rights organization Free Tibet Campaign in London and then at an environmental law firm in Dublin. Since, she has worked and studied in central Chile and Malta. At Coastkeeper, Katelyn is currently working on water reclamation issues and she is excited to learn more coastal protection laws and clean water litigation strategy.
Jessica Wall, Legal Intern
Jessica is currently in her fourth year at University California San Diego, where she is majoring in Environmental Systems (Policy) and Economics. Jessica is a member of the UCSD Social and Environmental Sustainability Committee and just returned from studying environmental policy in Sweden over the summer. She hopes to enter law school after serving in the Peace Corps following her undergraduate education. At Coastkeeper, Jessica is pursuing her interest in water supply issues including water reuse policy and conservation..
